General Description: Dried split lentils must be clean, well-filled, wholesome, uniform in size, shape, and colour, and in sound merchantable condition; safe and suitable for human consumption; free from abnormal flavours, musty or sour odour, pests, and live insects. Lentils must be fumigated not more than 10 days prior to delivery.

Suppliers shall submit a Certificate of Analysis of the final product along with other required documents.
The product must be free from harmful substances such as micro-organisms, heavy metals, pesticides, mycotoxins, or anti-nutritional factors. It must comply with Codex Alimentarius (CXS 193-1995) and JECFA/EFSA guidelines. It shall also be free from toxic or noxious seeds such as Crotalaria, Corn Cockle, Castor Bean, and Jimson Weed.
The lentils shall be packed in new, sound polypropylene bags of at least 110 g net weight. Each bag shall contain 50 kg net, clean and firmly sewn, fit for export and multiple handling. Bags must not be laminated to allow ventilation.
Store in dry, ventilated, and hygienic conditions, free from infestation and contamination.
The product must have at least 80% of its shelf life remaining upon inspection, with a total shelf life of not less than 12 months from delivery date.
