Coarse Bulgur Wheat
High-quality coarse bulgur, free from impurities and insects, conforms to UNRWA specifications and is suitable for human consumption.
General Description: Coarse bulgur shall have a natural bulgur color, free from mold, foreign odors, and strange tastes. It shall be free from live or dead insects and their parts, residues, impurities, or foreign materials. Mixing different types of wheat is not permitted.

Suppliers must submit a Certificate of Analysis of the final product to UNRWA along with all required documentation when requested.
The bulgur must be safe and free of harmful substances such as microorganisms, heavy metals, pesticides, or toxins. It must comply with Codex standards (CXS193-1995) and related safety guidelines. Toxic or noxious seeds such as Crotalaria, Castor bean, and Jimson weed must be absent.
Manufacturers shall apply GMP, GHP, HACCP, and GFSI standards. UNRWA inspectors may visit the factory without notice to verify compliance with production and documentation standards.
Bulgur shall be packed in clean, dry, and durable bags made of non-toxic material. Packaging must preserve product quality, prevent contamination, and pass standard drop tests as per ISO 7965-2. Marked packaging (2%) may be required with the lot.
Store in dry, well-ventilated conditions, away from heat, humidity, pollution, and foreign odors. Must meet all sanitary requirements and be protected from insects and rodents.
The product shall have at least 80% of its shelf life remaining at inspection, with a minimum of 12 months from the delivery date.
